Disney Channel had high hopes for “Shake It Up,” a hot new show combining comedy, music, and dance. The network entrusted my team and I with the entire launch campaign. It was one of unprecedented scope, with 12 on-air spot packages, six behind-the-scenes featurettes, three music videos, seven character countdown spots, nine host wrap segments and a complete graphics package, including the show main title sequence. When the big night finally arrived, “Shake It Up” premiered with the best rating for a Sunday Night premiere in Disney Channel history. I also went on to launch season two with the success of the series premiere.
